COMPLEX T&C's of Hire & Use

 

Bookings:

  1. All hirers and users of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex are subject to the “Terms and Conditions of Hire and Use” as shall be laid down from time to time. St. Laurence’s GAA Complex Management Committee reserve the right to update these terms & conditions as they see fit

  2. Those wishing to book the clubs facilities must go through the official booking process by completing the latest version of the “St. Laurence's GAA - Application for use of GAA Club & Complex Facilities” document. No activity can commence until official confirmation of the booking is received by the applicant from the Chairperson and Management Committee of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex

  3. Those wishing to book the clubs facilities and use St. Laurence’s GAA Complex as their location of choice to set up any new club and or group must agree not to use the name St. Laurence’s or Larries or any other similar reference to St. Laurence’s GAA Club unless they are officially affiliated with St. Laurence’s GAA Club.

  4. Pre-bookings may not be transferred by the hirer to any other person/group without prior approval from the Chairperson of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex

  5. The contact person named in the “St. Laurence's GAA - Application for use of GAA Club & Complex Facilities” document will be the person with whom all official communication from St. Laurence’s GAA Complex will take place [chairperson or equivalent]. If there are any changes in the details of the group organiser/contact person, the chairperson of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex must be informed immediately

  6. The person named in the “St. Laurence's GAA - Application for use of GAA Club & Complex Facilities” document [chairperson or equivalent] will be the person responsible for the group, including full payment of the facility, behaviour of those attending the booking, and adherence to the terms and conditions of hire and use of the facility

  7. All booking times requested must include the time required to prepare, erect, tidy up, dismantle and remove equipment

  8. Bookings for children under 18 years of age must be booked and supervised by a person aged 18 or over

  9. No outside events company may cater for an event on the premises unless they have been prior approved by management for each and every specific event and have all the relevant insurances in place [list of approved companies available on request]

  10. No outside catering company may cater for an event on the premises unless they have been prior approved by management for each and every specific event, are HSE registered & approved and have all the relevant insurances in place [list of approved companies available on request]

  11. No event Confetti allowed on the premises under any circumstances

Cancellation Policy:

  1. Hirers and users of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex must give a minimum of 48 hours notice of a cancellation to the chairperson of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex in writing. Failure to do this, or failure to show on the given hire time for the booking, will result in the group being charged for the hire of the facility. Repeated failure [any more than one cancellation per month per quarter] to show on a given hire time for a booking may result in the loss of the booking slot in the future if full payment is not received

Premises:

  1. No items should be taken into the premises except those needed to do the activity for which the facility was booked

  2. Footwear must be appropriate for the surface you are playing on at all times

  3. All jewellery should be removed before playing in the interests of player safety

  4. No glass containers are allowed in the hall

  5. Money/valuables should be left in a safe area and not in an open area on view at any time

  6. Management accepts no responsibility for items lost/stolen on the premises or grounds, or for any loss, damage, or injury occurring in or in the vicinity of the club grounds, or for any injuries to persons participating in any activity in or on its facilities

  7. Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in the hall or building

  8. Chewing gum is not permitted in the hall or building

  9. Illegal substances are not allowed under any circumstances and no person who is in the opinion of the Management under the influence of Illegal substances will be admitted or allowed on or near the facility

  10. Behaviour likely to lead to damage to the facility or injury is forbidden and will lead to immediate removal from the facility

  11. Material must not be posted on walls or on permanent fittings

  12. Any damage done to facilities, property, or equipment, fair wear and tear excepted, must be made good by the individual, group, club or organisation responsible for the damage

  13. No equipment to be stored in the building unless prior written permission is received in advance from the Chairperson and Management Committee of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex

  14. Any equipment that has received permission to be stored in one of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex store rooms must be stored in a safe and tidy manner at all times and the specific location must be agreed with St. Laurence’s GAA Complex in advance

  15. Any equipment including St. Laurence’s GAA Complex chairs and tables utilised by hirers and users of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex must be brought back to the store room they were got from and left in a safe and tidy manner after use at all times, they must never be left outside of store room after use

  16. Management accepts no responsibility for items lost/stolen on the premises or grounds, or for any loss, damage, or injury occurring in or in the vicinity of the club grounds in relation to any stored items located in the premises by any club/individual who hires out the facilities

  17. No plug-in electrical equipment allowed without permission from Complex Chairperson. No plug-in electrical heating allowed under any circumstances.

  18. Gas heaters in hall are controlled via a pay per use meter, management reserve the right to change fees associated with the gas heating at any time.

  19. Only Park in designated parking spaces

Code of Conduct:

  1. Persons using the facility must be attired according to their intended activity

  2. No activity, which could be misconstrued or give offence to other patrons, will be permitted

  3. No excessive noise, conduct or general nuisance will be tolerated, and offending users will be removed

  4. St. Laurence’s GAA Complex supervising personnel must be obeyed at all times during the hire. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with the Terms and Conditions of Hire and Use and have the authority to ask users to leave the facility. Non-acceptance of St. Laurence’s GAA Complex supervisory personnel’s decisions or any aggression or violence towards supervisory personnel will not be tolerated and may result in the removal of those involved from the premises and the cancellation of all future bookings

  5. Only players and trainers/coaches are permitted inside the hall during a booking time. For safety reasons children under the age of 18 are not allowed inside during a booked session unless they are officially part of the booking and of the activity for which the booking was made

  6. St. Laurence’s GAA Complex Management decisions on admission, allocation, use, operation, or closure of the facilities is final

Management reserve the right to:

  1. Introduce, amend, or delete such rules as may be required from time to time due to the needs of the service or due to changing circumstances

  2. Levy charges and fees as it considers appropriate for the use of facilities or services, and to alter such charges or fees at their sole discretion

  3. Refuse admission or the continued use of the facilities to any person or group who in their opinion are in breach of any management rule, or whose behaviour is such that it interferes with the safe, efficient operation of the facility

  4. Close the facilities for maintenance repair, holidays, or for any other reason. Where such closure occurs, no claim shall lie against St. Laurence’s GAA Complex management, staff or personnel in respect of loss or inconvenience suffered

PLEASE NOTE: St. Laurence’s GAA Complex Management Committee point out that all persons using the facilities do so at their own risk. Users are strongly advised to seek medical advice before undertaking any activity/exercise. Users with any known medical condition should consult with their doctor before participating in any form of activity/exercise

PLEASE NOTE: Risk is an inherent factor doing any activity, such is life. When people voluntarily take part in activities such as sports, they must accept the risks that such participation may bring. Users are strongly advised to check they have adequate personal cover/insurance in place to meet their own individual needs and personal circumstances in the event of accidental injury
